Everybody who travels to Moravia should make sure to visit Břeclav, the gateway to the Lednice-Valtice Area (LVA). Basic information can be obtained at Liechtenstein House in the town centre. The LVA is was created by the Liechtensteins, who loved mysteries and also ancient mythology. A lot of the buildings in classical style within the area, which are called saletes, are dedicated to ancient gods. According to available sources, they believed that if a man finds something nice in the surrounding beautiful contryside, he will become a better person. In the immediate vicinity of Břeclav only there are five such buildings in ancient style, then there are artificial castle ruins, and in the middle of the part of town called Poštorná there is the distinctive building of the neo-gothic Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary that was built under the Liechtensteins. From Břeclav you can visit the Liechtenstein monuments by boat and on foot. However, considering the flat landscape, the bicycle is the most convenient means of transport.
